BEIJING Nike Air Vapormax Plus White , May 29 (Xinhua) -- SAIC Volkswagen, a joint venture between Shanghai-based SAIC and German automaker Volkswagen, has filed a recall of its New Passat sedans in China due to a gearbox problem.
Beginning on June 9, the company will recall 146 New Passat cars manufactured between August and November 2016, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
Possible malfunction of the electronic control unit in the gearbox may lead to sudden loss of engine power. The company will replace the defective units free of charge, the statement said.
Although the recall affects a small number of cars Nike Air Vapormax Plus Sunset , it is not the first time for the German manufacturer to recall cars with defective gearboxes.
In March 2013, Volkswagen announced a massive recall of 384,181 vehicles in China, after a China Central Television program highlighted the malfunction in the company's direct shift gearbox transmissions could cause a sudden loss or gain in engine power.
Later that year, Volkswagen announced a new recall of 3,863 imported vehicles with the same problem.

WUZHEN, China Nike Air Vapormax Triple White , May 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Go player Ke Jie, current world No. 1, admitted defeat during the mid-game of his second duel against computer program AlphaGo here on Thursday.
Having lost the first game of the best-of-three match here on Tuesday with the narrowest margin, Ke, 19, had a very close call to a chance of winning AlphaGo today.
"I was very nervous as I thought I had an actual chance at winning," said Ke who tried to calm his pounding heart by pressing his chest during the match. "And Nike Air Vapormax Black , because of this intensity I made a few regretful moves. I guess that is exactly what we can call a human weakness."
According to Demis Hassabis, the founder of DeepMind Technology, this match was the best eye opener in which he described the match to be from the future.
"As we were in the control room looking at what AlphaGo's evaluation is saying; the evaluation: win rate, for roughly 50 moves, it thought that Ke Jie has been playing perfectly. The AlphaGo team did not share information regarding the fluctuation of win rate during the match, while for Ke, the outcome was much better than he had anticipated.
Knowing this master version, Ke shared that he thought of little to a chance of winning before the match.
"Today's game has been the best encouragement to me," said Ke.
Hassabis twitted after the match, describing the game to be amazing and complex.
"Ke Jie pushed AlphaGo right to the limit," he wrote.
The third and final round of Ke Jie versus AlphaGo will take place here on Saturday.
WASHINGTON Nike Air Vapormax Plus , Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday issued a public health advisory regarding potential risks associated with kratom, warning consumers not to use the herbal supplement to treat conditions like pain, anxiety and depression.
Scott Gottlieb, commissioner of the U.S. FDA, said in a statement that the agency is aware of reports of 36 deaths associated with the use of products that contain kratom, a naturally growing plant in Thailand, Malaysia Nike Air Vapormax , Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Some marketers have touted kratom as a "safe" treatment with broad healing properties but "evidence shows that kratom has similar effects to narcotics like opioids, and carries similar risks of abuse, addiction and in some cases, death," Gottlieb said.
"At a time when we have hit a critical point in the opioid epidemic, the increasing use of kratom as an alternative or adjunct to opioid use is extremely concerning," he said.
Gottlieb was also concerned that patients believe they can use kratom to treat opioid withdrawal symptoms.
